The St. Anthony soccer team is on the rise. Head coach Scott Demers thinks so. The Bulldogs, who struggled to win more than two games in seasons past, finally broke through in 2009 and finished with an 8-8-1 record. URBANA An Urbana man is being held at the Champaign County Jail in connection with an armed robbery on Friday night. According to a police report, a 26-year-old Urbana man and an 18-year-old Urbana man reported being robbed at gunpoint in a parking lot in the 1500 block of East Washington Street, Urbana, at 10:45 p.m. The robber reportedly took cash, a cell phone and video accessories. read more

A 24-year old man was arrested at the 00 block of University Avenue on Tuesday. According to the police report, the subject was issued a city notice to appear for possession of cannabis. He was also arrested on warrant for disorderly conduct.
